... past the ice castle. It felt so easy now, and it’s hard to believe I was so nervous beforehand.

The slope was starting to shut down and the lifts stopped so we caught a bus back to Pontresina. The boys fortunately jumped on the same bus near St Moritz. We saw them as we pulled up having a snowball fight. Even though we tried to hide and pretend we didn’t know them, Bart recognized our gear and they found us. They had a blast going into powder snow off ...

... for me.

We walked a short distance to the slope, and luckily my shoes felt a lot better as I went half a size up and did them up looser. The ski field was busy with a lot of little kids practicing. Gosh they were good and I just stayed out of the way. It is a bit daunting when a 3 year old comes racing past you.

The last 2 km goes through the forest which was a great feeling also. After 2 runs, Brigitte had to leave us, but Joel and I did a further two more runs. Joel took to holding the front of my sled to guide me and help me turn as my sled wasn’t as responsive as ...

Trying to ski on Corviglia

... When we got back to Corviglia we got all our gear and skied down Marguns. It was my hardest run yet as my ankles were really sore now and therefore the slopes felt steeper as I had trouble turning. But I had no choice as it was the only way down, so I slowly but certainly found my way down the slope. Bart was very patient with me and very encouraging. Once I made it to the base I felt exhausted due to me being so tense and nervous. I relaxed in the café while ...
