Hotel del Alba Alicante

... we went to see and in Altea there was a beautiful rocky beach where Cristina and I had a really good heart to heart about our lives. Hehe, so corny but it was really good. I <3 her mucho!~! I love good listeners since I'm such a big talker, tehe, but I love talkers too, which thank goodness both Elizabeth and Cristina are!~!

So today was the first day of the official CIEE program in Alicante, Spain. I realize now just how freaking lucky I was to have Elizabeth as my travel companion. I'm so glad it worked out well. We like exploring and we both have enough guts to get us around as well as we're on the same schedule when going out and about around the town and we were able to discover quite a bit just on our own in the last two days in Alicante ...

... consists of three countries". So, in my English accent i played along and said "I am English". He said " they don't teach you things like that in uni, but its important". Agreeingly, I replied "well, I have been to uni and they certainly did not teach me that". He then said that the best way to keep your passport safe is to bury it. Well after loosing the coke bottle in the sand this certainly wasnt an option for me. However, it may be an idea to buy Alex a shovel.

... few hours Miguel turned up and told us his stories of being lost which involved running round the city for two hours looking confused. He obviously went up for a shower. Shortly after a German girl (Jessica) started talking to me looking to meet some people. ... usual and fell asleep in a wierd location (motorway traffic Island) as usual. Then, as usual, whilst going to the toilet a big animal started rustling around in a bush next to me. I nonchalently threw a massive rock in there to freak it out.

Then we soundly fell asleep to the sound of heavy traffic a few meters away.

Wir relaxen und sonnen bis zum Abwinken - am Abend trinken wir gemuetlich Kaffee. Dann besuchen wir eine Ausstellung ueber den Jakobsweg im Mittelalter. Es hat echte, uralte, fette Geschichtsbuecher, Schriften, Pilgerausruestung (Umhang, Filzhut, Stab, leerer Trinkkuerbis und Lederbeutel) und viel Text in Spanisch.

... 2h30 de sommeil, je prends le bus pour faire une randonnée organisée par l'université. C'était trop jolie avec une très belle vue sur la mer. Un peu fatiguantes les montées car j'ai pas l'habitude. J'y suis allé avec Javi, un ami qui prépare un doctorat (je le précise pour faire genre je fréquente des gens de niveau intellectuel égal au mien...) avec qui je prends les cours de salsa. C'était très sympa, on a pris beaucoup de photos et ça m'a encore plus donn ...

... Mes repas sont toujours aussi bons mais je me suis rendu compte qu'en réalité c'était Carrefour qui cuisinait. Moi je suis juste le Bob Sinclar de la cuisine mixant les boites de conserves avec les flacons de sauces. - Il y a une médiathèque sur le campus dans lequel on peut emprunter 2 DVD pour une durée de 2 jours gratuitement (je me sens obligé auprès de mes lecteurs de devoir être drôle mais je vois pas ce que je peux raconter de marrant sur cette information...). - J ...

... hills to reach the top and look out over the city. We had not eaten much or planed for the hike so needless to say we where less then thrilled. Yet the views made us feel better, and we got some beautiful photos. After we walked back down and along the harbor admiring its beauty and saying goodbye to Spain. We took an early flight back to London the next morning. Love to my friends and family <3

... can only be described as a half moan/half sqeal of delight, said "Aaaahhhh!!! I can't put anything else inside my body!" Uhh ... Mary ... it would sound less dirty if you just said "Whew! I'm so full I can't eat another bite!" But of course, that would have made it a less memorable night. Spain is awesome - even without partaking in the nightlife, simply having dinner and going for a stroll still means returning to the hotel at 1 AM!
