... then had some breakfast and headed off to Calpe again to spend some time on the beach and I planned to climb Penon de ifach.
I got to the beach at about 11am and spent the next 3 hours before walking down the boulevard and visiting the "old town". I then walked back and walked up to Penon de ifach and climbed up to the tunnel which leads you through the mountain to the very top.
... day with my grandsons at the beach.It was fun to remember their visit as we hiked.
After a couple of hours we rounded the last ridge to find Benidorm at our feet. Perfect timing, now a stroll into town for lunch before we caught a bus to the tram and were on our way home again.

... 6:30pm we decided to taste some of the fish and so went to one of the restaurants called Restaurant Canada and had a 3 course meal including wine for 11 euros.
Then it was time to go home and we arrived home at 9:30pm.
To bed as we had to get up at 5:30am so I could drive her to the airport
... snacks and both of these ladies were generous in sharing their foraging.
We seemed to be the only hikers this morning...well that was until we approached the dam where we encountered an enormous group of German hikers....fortunately they were headed the opposite way and we never saw them again.

We found one where no one was at and set up for the night, at least until we get told to move on or something anyway. Put some pasta on to cook and made some drinks.
