    ... the deep blue waves crashing below. The staff was very polite and attentive and the generous portions of food were delicious.     ... belvedere. It did look really interesting and we wished we had gotten here earlier. Oh well, another trip!

    The trip home was a long one and the first time driving into Lanciano after dark. We really feel like we are getting more comfortable with the drive into and out of the city. We got home about 11 pm.

    Tomorrow is market day, so we plan to sleep late, go to the market and generally chill out.

They only had one car left at the Hertz in Monopoli, and it was bigger than I wanted, but they gave it to me for the price of their least expensive model, and as it turns out it was exceptionally good on gas.
