... is still a big hotel at the top of the hill with amazing 180 degree views of the coast - but it is now completely derelict. We air wheeled up there to explore and it's a real shame that it is no longer used as it is in a fantastic location - and apparently it used to have a swimming pool on the roof too ! We were also lucky to have another nice sunset down on the beach so yet more sunset photies coming up ...
... Camerota. On the on the way back down the coast, we spotted a statue, way up on top of one of the mountains and decided to go and find it !! It was the statue Il Redentore which was literally on top of the mountain, with a platform specially built for it, and the small church next to it, complete with a hair-raising bit of track on stilts to get up there. We managed to get there just in time to enjoy the sunset too which was ...
... we thought we had booked room only.....and he tells us that the room rate is Euro 20 less than we had been quoted.....fantastic!!
Later we wander onto the seafront and enjoy a good meal, in the open-air, at the Incontro Restaurant. As we are leaving it starts to rain quite heavily....... we shelter for a few minutes then run back to the hotel thankfully without getting too wet!

... card in it to ring the house. So, via an international phone call via Australia we eventually got someone to answer the phone but - you guessed it, they couldn't speak English. They just told us to ring another number.
To cut this part of the story short - after 3 international phone calls to the house which was really only 50 metres away from us the owner eventually appeared and opened the gate.
