      ... of the time who wanted to do something different and recreate the Hawaiian experience in LA. It was one of those Back to the Future experiences where you look at each other, both thinking we need to get out of here but before you know it you've ordered drinks and are negotiating yourselves around the menu to find something half-appealing. Despite the full-on karaoke from the adjoining bar, it actually wasn't that bad and we left for the motel all the better for our Don Quixote ...

      ... these rides still amazes me. For those of you who don’t know the Cars ride takes you inside a mountain (so we are back in the dark again) and takes you on a journey through Cars town. When you come out the other side and back into the light another car pulls up beside you and races around the hills and mountains of radiator Springs. It was just amazing. Certainly would have done that again if we didn’t have to wait 50 minutes again!!

      Once we finished the cleaning and moving process, Brock and I returned to Punta Gorda for a few more days. We had been waiting to get the registration for Brock’s Jeep. It turned out the DMV in California had not received the registration paperwork and the check we had sent in the mail about a month earlier, so we didn’t have a legal way to drive back ...

      ... holding 8 people. I got an edge seat both times and ended up quite damp but Cilla managed to squeeze her way into a middle seat and stayed dry. Though the ride started off gentle in smooth water, the big mechanised carrying ramp that took us several storeys above the people below didn't let us relax. There was no big drop off the other end, but that was coming! In fact, there were about three drops and the unfortunates who were going down first got the wettest. ...
