On last years trip we meet a gentleman in Lurcene who told us about a walk you could do along the side of a mountain outside Sion. We tried to find it last year but failed. This year we found it and it is today's challenge. We have breakfast at 8.00am which was the typical Swiss style contential breakfast but with fresh cooked eggs. All very nice. Next stop is a short 26 km drive to Saviese and the start of Torrent -Neuf. The road leads to ...

We leave for Sion today in the Swiss Alps. We are staying in a small alpine village called Nax which is high in the hillside overlooking Sion and the surrounding areas. Steve is today's driver but an hour of so into the trip he has a coughing attack and Russell takes the wheel. ... steps for both the fantastic experience of the climb itself and for the great view it offers of the same high alps we saw before lunch on our hike. We are given a color Xerox sheet to use at the top to identify which mountain is which. Caron has the willies ascending so high up over the city, but she sticks with it and is able to walk the whole perimeter of the tower with some trepidation but is in a rush to get back down.

... more than what it should be so we enjoyed our overpriced curry and me and Adam got ready for our concert later that night.

The final main Montreux concert was going to be a kickass lineup – Fourplay, Herbie Hancock and Sergio Mendez!! Adam and I rolled into the venue and for the next five hours our ears were treated to some serious music. Fourplay where tight ...
