    ... but we are getting there.

    The trade off is we are in a beautiful environment. Very dry air, and hard water. Altitude also affects the temperature water boils at, and how long things take to cook. Soft boiled egg is 6 minutes. Fortunately there is an App to help with such things. Also means that hangovers can arrive early and hit hard. Possible due in part to dehydration, but alt also contributes to less oxygen in the blood. Up and down stairs is often hard ...

    woke to a wonderful view of the Lausanne lake. We drove down to evian and after much debating as to which wharf we wer to leave from. We finally found it and took the ferry over to lausanne which was beautiful until the girls found out that they would have to climb a hil to get to the centre of town.     Today we drove to Erlenbach im Simmental (approx. 700 m above sea level). We didn't see much of the village though, because our goal was the top of the Stockhorn mountain (2190 m high).     ... Franc is very roughly equal to the dollar.) The motor boat went probably 10 miles an hour at it's fastest so we went out as far out into the lake as we could. Maybe 2 miles from shore, I jumped off the boat and swam in Lake Leman (Lake Geneva) The water was deliciously refreshing but I'm not used to swimming in huge bodies of water so I didn't know what to do once I was in.
