Stop in Berne, the capital city of Switzerland en route to Lake Genève. Visit the town of Montreux, famous for its Jazz Festival, before enjoying a lakeside drive to Evian les Bains on the southern slopes of Lake Genève. Departed Zurich at 9am to head to Bern. We had no preconceived ideas on what Bern would like, but when we drove into Bern, it is just jaw droppingly beautiful. No words could explain how beautiful this place is. Have a look at ...

The view was spectacular, overlooking lake Geneva. As soon as we put our bags in the room Anne had prepared a pot of tea and cake for us, sitting in their newly built room overlooking the lake. This is the life!! Slim was very keen to chat and get to know this young Australian couple! Anne ...

... before. A lot of European campsites are equipped with kitchens that include stove, oven and fridges for communal use. This is particularly awesome, and meant that we hardly used our camp stove for any meals. Of course, by placing your prized ice coffee, beer, or miscellaneous items in the communal fridge, you run the risk of some **** stealing your goods. But we were assured that anyone found doing such a thing was promptly lynched and quietly disposed of in Lake Geneva. Or ...
