A "council" pickup truck arrived, towing an industrial shredder.
Three workmen emerged.
First, they asked the lone German lady campervaner to move her van, they clearly planned to trim the trees behind her van.

... 12.30 arriving Newhaven 3.30. Managed to book it, (wifi only dropped out once) £90 with DFDS. Dieppe is about an hour and 3/4 away. We then packed the car with all our stuff, settled out bill and left at 9 am. Had to stop for fuel and a small amount of wine etc. We had hoped for a little more time to shop but needs must! Got to Dieppe with 90 minutes to spare. Security a lot ...
