... to the flowers. We looked at our map and carried on before turning off onto a small road. Sure enough, it led right to the field of flowers which turned out to be hyacinths. They smelled wonderful and we enjoyed the view of the purple heading off into the distance. The best rows were the dark purple hyacinths and the lilac and pink ones were just starting to come out. ... fully overhauled. The engine has been out after when inspected it was apparent that sand had done a lot of damage. The cylinders had to be renewed and a 5speed gearbox was installed. We have also made modifications to overcome the fuel mixture problems at altitude. More about that when we make our first ascend over 4500mtrs. We also fixed the funny problem with the claxon, in Morocco it was sounding every time we made a turn, so we disconnected it.

... was very interesting with traditonal costumes and all that cheese mmmmmmmmmmmmm…. Lots of souvenir stalls and demonstration of clog making. In a big square beside an algae ridden canal (isn’t it a lovely shade of green?) and in front of the weighing house, huge rounds of cheese are laid out for auction, and then, presumably sold on the basis of so much a kilo.

They are carried on sledges to the scales in the weighing house ...
