As we walked the streets of Hoorn I learned about the history.. :) They have a Jail that has been restored into a resturant and hotel., which is main attraction of the city. I was told if I was bad I would be staying in the jail..

Once he came down the canal, we tried to listen to his speech/get a good picture of him. Since we don't speak Dutch, the listening was a wash. We've had a great start to our trip. Amsterdam lived up to its reputation. We've spent only about six hours there so far, but took in a fair bit considering the jet lag. Our flights were long but bearable thanks to the great service offered by Singapore Airlines. We had only one stop in Singapore so all up the travelling time was just short of 24 hours.
