    ... The trip went fairly well for several hours. It is very windy today so at times, it felt like we were going to be blown off the road. We wanted to stop in Gent, Belgium so we travelled in that direction. However, when we arrived in that city, we didn't see the charming part that we had heard resembled Bruges, so we just continued on. We are getting tired of being on the road and still have a ways to go.

    ... whole floor becomes one room, except for Mrs Schroder's bedroom. Half way up the stairs is the original telephone box and seat to sit on while talking. The letter box is glass so you could see immediately if any mail had arrived. The site was chosen because it was on the edge of town and had a beautiful view over the polders.
