        ... felt a pang of regret that we didn't allow for more time here!

        Nice tour of the chateau on our own. There were lots of old decorations and exhibits about the inhabitants. One of the main dining rooms had beautifully painted, very interesting murals on the walls which illustrated the history of the city over the past 1000+ years.         As I stood atop the hill in Gruyere rocking Eddie to sleep in the shade and watching Sean attempt to do the same with Jr at the bottom, a man came walking up the steps with a tshirt that said, "Port of Call: Greece" and had a bunch of flags on it. I glanced at it and it got me to thinking….what the hell does that even mean and why would someone buy it?  Then it got me to thinking ...

        ... and I trudged up the hill to the farmhouse while the gals shopped for the Euro-picnic supplies at the cheese factory gift shop which had the essentials of cheese, meat, bread and apples. They continued on up to the walled city so they could see the H. R. Giger museum.

        ... that hill...the back of an old woman aching from carrying my backpack all day...lack of sleep from staying up so late to post the pics and do this bloody blog...plum worn out! Mind you, it's not a complaint...I'd do it all exactly this way if I had to do it all again. But there is a cumulative tired. And, so...from our loft Carmel sits with me as I hear snoring downstairs at 9:00...all showered...relaxed and tucked in.
