... Fortunately, we finally reached the front of the line with about an hour to spare, giving us time to look out over Brussels and tour the exhibits inside the adjacent spheres, the latter of which proved surprisingly difficult, as signs directing us to the escalator ultimately led us back outside, where there was no escalator at all.

Of the two major exhibits inside the Atomium, the permanent exhibit, featuring relics from World's Fairs ...

Thought it would be nice and relaxing not having to worry about crossing roads but did not count on the million and a half push bikes! Nearly got bowled over numerous times. Today was a special day, don't really know what was being celebrated but it was awesome. The sun ...

... All of it is presented with a lot of reality and there is equal mention of the plight of the Germans who lost a large percentage of their young men in both conflicts.

Tomorrow, we head back to England on the Eurostar and will spend the last week with Helen and a short visit to Windsor and Oxford.Admittedly, getting tired of suitcase living but the trip has gone very well.

Hope this note finds everyone well. Keep those cards and letters coming!!
