After our leisurely breakfast we had to wash our damp and smelly cycle kit from the last 4 days. We headed off in search of a launderette and were lucky enough to find one 5 minutes from the hotel. Time to try an ATM. The good news was it worked. The bad news was that because it is Switzerland they think it useful to give 400SF out in 2 notes, each worth about £140. How am I going to go into a boulangerie and buy some breakfast with those. Or even a cafe. Anywhere that is going to accept them will be out of my budget. ... and the sun came out for the photos. A short ride took us to our hotel in Geneva and after a quick shower we met for our celebration meal. Mixed emotions for Bryan and I as we say goodbye to all but 4 of the group as they travel home tomorrow. Cold and damp start. Again managed to leave town without passing anything that sells food. Thank goodness for mars bars. I think they should be sponsoring me. It dried up by lunchtime but still cold. Past a sign showing current temperature. 10 degrees midday. I don't have clothes for that sort of temperature. By a miracle I found somewhere for lunch. Was just as well as I didn't get anything else to eat all day. Left France. Not ...
So in Europe they have this little thing they call Football...this sport where they kick this synthetic leather ball around a big field and pretend to be hurt a whole lot more often then they actually are...but the strangest part about the whole thing is how not little it is...In fact it's a HUGE deal, and I have finally popped my european Football cherry and might possibly be hooked (although I'm not 100% sure what's going on ...
