Thursday, we made the journey from Lagos to Benin City. On the advice of Mr. Akinbo, we waited until mid – morning in order to give the commute traffic time to clear before hitting the road. Due to the fact that Lagos is a city of approximately 21 million people, we would have faced a significant delay attempting to leave during rush hour. The good spirits quickly faded, we're on the way to Benin city, ideally to by pass and stay in a " town before we go to Calabar. Distance 322km, expected arrival time 2pm. Its a bank holiday in *****ia so we're hoping the traffic ...
