... on the train and got a kick out of the French name on my coca cola light I opted for instead of coffee. When I got to the port, I couldn't miss the boat and literally shrieked at the sight. I sat on a bench to wait for them when UK (Uncle Ken, also my godfather) walked off the ship smiling, waving and shouting, "Bonjour Madame!" in an accent that rivals his karaoke skillz. It was the best sight ever. He took me to my parents and we couldn't stop ...

... morning if you have any hope of getting one! First stop was a slide. We stripped off, (having put our cozzies on at home!), abandoned our bags and down we went. Even I enjoyed it as the water at the bottom was only about 6 inches deep! Oliver then asked me where his goggles were - he wears contacts, so quite important when swimming! Having had a really lovely meal out in Dijon last night, we got an early night and even I managed to sleep! The French traffic news shows hotspots in grades of colour according to the traffic jams expected. The worst grade is black - guess what colour our route was?! So, we set off by 8am, eating breakfast as we left the car park! We did well at first. But we did ...

... Gretch, Aunt Melissa, Maggie, me, and Mathew all decided to hike to the top of one of the vineyards on the other side of the river! It was so great! Very steep, but amazing views of the town and river and neighboring vineyards!

Our ship pulled out and said for Lyon at 4pm. Mom, Dad, Gretch, Aunt Melissa, and I sat up on deck reading, drinking (they love Dunkel!) and chatting with our new friend ...
