... The main part of the cathedral still shows the Romanesque arches. The ceilings were done by the same man that did the ceilings in the Popes Palace in Avignon. Another day of cruising on the riverboat as we make our way to Provence. Today, a three hour stop in Tain l'Hermitage where we toured a winery (with just horrible wine), the Valrhona chocolate boutique (Barefoot Contessa says this is the best chocolate in the world), and an art gallery. ... The 1995 Côte Rôtie was unbelievably good – I can’t afford to drink at this level but to have this come out as a mystery wine with such a trip was a real blessing. The Chapoutier experience was all together a worthwhile one. As ever, one leaves through the gify shop where a T-shirt and a lovely bottle of their Marc was purchased.
