    The two things that can ruin the grapes are mold and butterfly eggs. In April the growers fertilize the soil and protect the vines with anti-disease controller. You will see foliage in July. The harvest is in September.

    After the harvest they have to cut back the vines. It takes four months to cut back 40 acres.
