Bonjour, Montreal
... not see the urban blight we often see in large cities, and this place is huge. There is a mixture of old and new that seems to blend. Almost everyone living here is at least bi-lingual, and many people speak 3 or 4 languages. We went into the old city for a late lunch of pizza, salad and a couple "bieres" for only 50$. We'll be enjoying brown bag lunches from now on. Anyway, we got a nice orientation of the city today.

... This was a fine dinning establishment that the guidebook was giving rave reviews. Unfortunately they only take reservations and their reservation list was booked until 10pm Sunday! ... was supposed to be a co-conspirator and act as the person kicking them out of the house, but just as I assured them, there were no qualms about their changing the ticket. My days of panicking at Greyhound stations have been and gone, and left me nonplussed about the saga that might or might not unfold; I’m sure I’ll be the first to panic next time something goes awry, but for once I was actually nonchalant.
