Ihsan leaves Geneva (final thoughts)

... late here. Even the sun seemed to be half asleep, meaning that I was making my way through the city on a rather dark gloomy day. The weather just keeps getting worse and worse the longer I stay here, lol. Anyway, it seemed as though most things were going to open at 10. The Cathedral supposedly opens at 9.30 but I stayed there till 9.45 and it still wasn't open. So not only do things open late here, but they don't open on time either, it seems. Maybe its part of ...

The last part of the drive took us along the eastern shore of Lac d'Annecy, a beautiful drive along the clear waters and surrounding mountains. The city of Annecy is ...

... wasn't until approaching the things that I realized just how impressive this work of engineering is. Water sprays 460 feet up into the air with such force that walking within more than 50m of the base is difficult on the small walkway that leads out to it. I didn't get too close because I did not want to get wet in the below freezing temperatures. In the summer however, I'm sure this would have felt amazing!
