Had very nice Easter with the lovely Jocelyn. Saw all the sights of her local area of Lower Saxony including Verden and Wind Jan ( windmill) and Schloss Etelsen. Boys enjoyed the visit to Hannover Zoo and made a new friend with Helena. We met Regine and Diana who showed us their new apartment currently under renovations (and in a beautiful part of …

This morning was an early start (6 AM) to catch the TGV train to Geneva. We had to take the metro to Paris Lyon, where we bought lunch for on the train, and then caught it to Switzerland. It was a bit slower than the Eurostar and took around 4:30. Otherwise it all went smoothly though. Once in Geneva, we caught the tram to CERN, the end of the line, and were slowly transferred ...

To their credit, they are getting pretty adventurous on trying new tastes (sometimes). In the end it, for us, it was simply a night on the road. Comfortable bed - I shared with Flynn in the double and Bronte and Jo had a single each in the other room - and a strong hot shower. All ...

After a 9.5 hour flight to Frankfurt, a long bus ride at the airport to the next plane, and a short 50 minute flight, we are in Geneva. Figured out how to take a bus to the hotel, overpaid, arrived and finally got our room. Slight problem with our reservation - they had us down for 2 people only. Kids will have to sleep outside in the rain ;-) --- Went downtown and joined a festival... Walked around, ate drank, got wet, and enjoyed the fireworks... Everyone is beat... Off to ...
