Pavel and Philip were wonderful hosts at the Boutique Hotel which felt more like a B&B. Their helpfulness, both prior to our arrival and during our stay was outstanding.

After a lovely breakfast, we got great advice from Philip that we should take the Saleve de Travelique. It was a cable car for which we had to cross the border into France to be able to look down on Geneva. What great advice! We took the bus to the border and then walked through a village to the cable car. There were young people with bikes getting …

... can be expensive because of the tariffs placed on them. The way round this is to drive across the border (some 2-3klms) into France and buy what you need there at up to 20% less! Generally the borders are not manned but if you do get caught a heavy fine is imposed and the good confiscated. For someone living in Australia, where a four to five hour plane journey merely gets you to another shore of your own country, the ease and accessibility of so ...

I've seen the guilt that other mommies do and I won't be a part of it therefore pick my friends wisely and why I say away from Facebook ...

This morning we met with the girl that Phil introduced me to. We decided to meet at the park because the weather was suppose to be nice. We thought this way we can go in the wading pool if it's nice enough if not there's always the play area and sand box. Before heading out the forecast was not nice. It wasn't suppose to get any higher than 22 or 23 so I didn't even bother bringing his stuff because I thought it would be too cold. Even if it did get warm the water wouldn't be warm. Of ...

Breakfast in room, walked to train station to see about a trip to Le Cerque, decided not to go, walked to Old Town of Geneva, caught the tram to Plan De Palais, trash & trivia market, then cheese fondue and Vin Chaud (mulled wine) for ...
