Hotel de Genève Faverges

... the week but on Saturday we leave for St Anton - apparently it's an 8 hour drive so up at 6AM.... when we get there we get to go to our permanent accommodation - we're living with the other couple and apparently our appartment has en suite bathrooms and a washing machine so sounds pretty good to us!

... how small the spaces were
when I drove down this steep ramp with about 6 inches of room on each
side of the car. It took me about 5 minutes in jockeying the car
through the pillars that defined the 8-10 spaces there. I got in the
room and then headed out to wander the town and wander down to Lake
Annecy, a gem in the Alps region.

... parlais) donc sa fois 8 porteurs, fois 2 rangs. Sa egal un mechant gros tas de raisin collant. Donc quand je dis qu'on la crisser dans le container, c'etait vraiment drole!!! hahah!!


Bon time-out le cafe internet ferme pour 2h, jva revenir tantot continuer toute facon vous etes pas encore lever pour la pluspart de vous a plus!!!!

En la desembocadura del lago de su mismo nombre se encuentra la ciudad medieval, con el Palacio de la Isla controlando el acceso. En lo alto el castillo domina la ciudad y el lago.
Dormimos en el Hi Hostel Annecy, a 10 minutos dle centro.

We sadly left Chamonix and vowed to return there in the winter, and drove to Annecy. Annecy was kind of a repeat of Prague, beautiful old city, on the water, with canals... we were kind of sick of that scene by then. They are applying to have the 2018 Olympics there, with the ski events at Mont Blanc. It would be a nice venue for sure.

Voila, je termine en assez bonne forme ce Tour du Mont Blanc 2009, avec un seul petit bobo, l'ongle du gros orteil du pied droit, mais il parait que ça repousse.


Mine de rien, j'ai perdu 2 kilos dans la semaine, principalement le tour de taille pour un homme, je sais, y'a des régimes plus sympa, mais en bonus, pour vous mesdames, vos jambes sont plus fuselées, parti la cellulite !! ce qui devrait vous pousser a ce petit exercice ...

J 4/ Auberge de la Nova - col de la Seigne - mont Fortin - col Chécroui

Mercredi 2 Septembre, au petit matin, nous passons le village des Glaciers, jusqu'au refuge des Mottets. Le temps a subitement changé avec un gros orage pendant la nuit, et durant toute la journée nous n'avons pas pu voir la chaine du Mont Blanc et les majestueuses Grandes Jorasses.

... for cycling and my love to France. I went to the time trial stage in Annecy. I can tell you that I had a good time. What stays with me is the commercialization of the event. It's a big thing. On the pics you can see impressions of a beautiful day.

... in the Pyrenees. You all know how much John loves to drive for hours and hours and hours. Well, I dare say that the driving was a little too much, even for him. That should tell you a lot about how much we drive (something like over 8000kms in 4 weeks). At least, he had the opportunity to visit areas he had never been to such as Biarritz, Pau, Lourdes and the Pays Basque. I am very grateful that he gracefully put up with me working all the time, the constant moving around and ...
