Awaking in my favourites city. I could sit and just watch the people. There is a class about the way Parisians live, dress and perhaps even eat. Anyway we move on. Max and I had a lovely breakfast in the hotel after a nice sleep in. We then went exploring. We walked to the Louvre then wandered through several of the backstreets before we ended up at Ave de l'Opera. We walked past the Opera and ended up at the La Fayette department store. It is a David Jones on a grander scale. ...

... Champs- Élysées there was a lot of sirens and police on motorbikes making way for a number of black cars to get through the traffic , obviously there was someone very important in one of the cars, we later learned it was the Chancellor of Germany, Angela Merkell, we couldn't see her due to the dark windows in the car but everyone certainly moved out of the way. After they had all passed we walked down the avenue of Champs-Élysées, it is 1.9 km long and 70 ...

Refreshed and ready to go I set out....

We didn't find Paris too dirty at all and both really liked it. Bens map reading and direction skills were in full force - NOT! Notre dame was amazing inside, we didn't go up the bell tower but found what we saw really delicate yet gothic! Went on the metro, which was fine, out to the ...

... school. I never thought I would actually see and climb it. Major bucket list item ticked off.
Nice to just slow down today, and cruise. Good food, something to see around every corner. Paris is a romantic city, a city of beautiful architecture, history everywhere, food that has to be tried, and the sexiest language, especially when a good looking girl talks to you.
Every 3-4 blocks they have 5 electric cars, all plugged into power point, ready to go. ...
