It was this huge festival with a bunch of free events like workouts and free givaways, and music/opportunities to learn English. It was very cool (and I saw alot of young professional french men.) ... from. There were literally hundreds of cafes to choose from with all kinds of food. The cafes were one after another. We finally picked one and had lunch. We had money left over, so we stopped in a patisserie and bought macaroons. They were delicious. Then we were still hungry, perhaps brought on by spying a gelato store. So Ron and I each got a small cup of ice cream, me pistachio and tiramisu ...
... go. It was a nightmare, 3 lanes merging into 1 then fanning out to 4 lanes then coming back into 2 grrrrr. I don't think I have ever seen so many cars and trucks!! We eventually made it back to Touquin around 7.45pm, absolutely shattered. Thankfully Noush and Jon had put dinner on so a cold beer and a wine where called for and some downtime. Note to oneself, NEVER travel during peak times around cities whilst touring in Fifi. Lesson learnt.
