We intend staying a while despite the French Romany community moving into our local Aire today. We have the best pitch though (we moved 5 mins earlier) and they're pretty harmless and friendly. The cycling is just brilliant. Beautiful valley's with just the odd farm and Stack loads of tiny lanes and mini Cols to explore. MIDI Pyrenees is a great area. With the most amazing back drop of the snow capped Pyrenees mountains. Clive today has ...

After leaving our last pleasant short stay B & B we journeyed via very round about routes to get to the next bed. we were staying in a somewhat out of the way place due to difficulty finding a lot of options of interesting places in the small area in which I wanted to stay. Tomorrow we explore on our bikes at last. 24 degrees, sunny and just how I like it. The town of Mirepoix gets a full 5* rating. Bank hols weekend and the place was buzzing, musicians, fairgrounds and restaurants were adding to ...

All went well with giving the car back - even though it was covered with a wonderful coat of dust, mud and leaves. I became quite fond of the little Renault diesel number.

Saw the funniest shaped plane ever in Frankfurt at the Airbus factory - Puppa said it was a cargo plane; ...

Resting!!

Two days in Pamiers resting up, cleaning and stocking up before the next part of the trip. We've had another almighty thunderstorm but the long range forecast is good for our Midi trip 65 degrees and getting warmer and less rain.
We are really looking forward to the Canal Midi and having John and Wendy share it with us, it's a double celebration as they have just had their first wedding anniversary and it will be John's birthday on the Monday 18th June. ...
