... See the photo with our laundry on the line on our small terrace. The village we stayed in, St Chely D'Aubrac, is a gem. Very small, one patisserie, a few cafés, and a couple of restaurants. The highlight of dinner was the dessert - a tray with a small creme brûlée, berry tort and apple tort. The different tastes were fantastic. We had dinner with our 2 Aussie friends who we hadn't seen for a couple of days. Of course, the man with the red pack was ...

The miniature models made of stones were the best bit - set out like the town, complete with river running through. ... who were having serious issues with punctures. Not good. But by the time I'd polished off my beer, Jill rolled up and we ran a pit stop on the van. We heard that Tim and Steve got straightened out and were back on the road with Carole who was with them.

Mark had checked us in; now with our bags we quickly cleaned up. I headed straight up the street to the swimming pool that our hotel shares with another. It was a hot ...

... blow out. The short version of the story is that he had blown out the side wall of his tire. We had to call Jill to come back with a tire. One tire and four tubes later we had him back on the road. That whole affair took about 2 hours.

We then went on and had a beautiful descent which got us up over 60 km/h. As we entered the town at the end of that descent, I had a flat ...
