... have had for the last 3 days, so we can drive the long way – would you expect
anything less from me - to Arles in Provence, through part of the Alps, rather
than the money grabbing Auto route.

We have the Sat. Nav. and some detailed Michelin maps so it
should be a good day with more fine weather forecast.

Bonne Année to
all in NZ. We plan to spend New Year’s Eve here quietly and early (as usual)
over a wine, baguette, pate and cheese!

Day 13, Topdeck day 8, Barcelona to Nice

Bags to bus at 7:40. Another long day on the bus. No exciting stops on the way. Arrived in Nice around 6ish. Met in reception at 7:30 and walked to dinner, about 10 mins down the road. We got a Long Island iced tea ...

While in Monaco I kept an eye out for famous faces and I think I might have seen Robert Wagner but then again, I don't know if he is ...

... was supposed to be one of the best beaches to go to on the French Riviera. Once we got to the dock where our boat was supposed to leave from we noticed an exceptionally large amount of old people getting onto the boat. Lucas and I were sort of self conscious about it since we were literally the only people on that boat under the age of 30, along with being the only ones looking like we were obviously going to the beach. We stood out even more since we ...

... we don't have to carry it with to Monaco. My backpack straps on my very sunburnt back was not a good feeling. I really hope my burn heals up fast. The train to Monaco was full of people but it was only a 25minute ride so it went quickly. As soon as we got off the Monaco train I could tell we were in a rich city/country. The train station was the cleanest I have seen and instead of being all cement it had a touch of decoration. The sun ...
