A super day off to Eze Village, at the top of the. Cote d'zure. One of the nicest hilltop villages. The folks then went off to Monaco and we walked the high road down to top of villefranche.
Home to gather a few things and exciting the folks arrived from England. Had a super night catching up...they were indeed in a need of a break. ...

... look at the shops available; there was a Celebrity themed shop (Celebrity teddy bears, mugs etc.), a duty free styled shop selling chocolate, alcohol and cigarettes, an area selling art, a couple of jewellers and some expensive clothes shops. I found that there wasn't much selection of clothing for men compared to that of the women's section. As well as the shops we also had a look at the night club, Quasar. I found that when I travelled on the Celebrity Eclipse the Quasar club ...

... The drive also took us through more stunning villages (are there any ugly ones?) such as Gault and Bonnieux, built into another cliff face and perched high on a hill. We enjoyed the drive into Lour Marin passing by stunning limestone rockface.

Today we were heading for Cannes. Gwynney told us to take a turn at "Mandy Lou" (sounded very dinky) which turned out to be Mandelieu.

Well we actually arrived in Cannes and pulled up at the hotel - no mean feat ...

... we don't have to carry it with to Monaco. My backpack straps on my very sunburnt back was not a good feeling. I really hope my burn heals up fast. The train to Monaco was full of people but it was only a 25minute ride so it went quickly. As soon as we got off the Monaco train I could tell we were in a rich city/country. The train station was the cleanest I have seen and instead of being all cement it had a touch of decoration. The sun ...

... and the Japanese Garden is another we visited. There were many palm and olive trees and plants from all over the globe. There was a reproduction of a mountain, a waterfall, and a stream with many fish swimming. There was also a reproduction of a Japanese Tea Room with a small entrance door. The door is always small because everyone who enters is supposed to be humble.
