Stop in Berne, the capital city of Switzerland en route to Lake Genève. Visit the town of Montreux, famous for its Jazz Festival, before enjoying a lakeside drive to Evian les Bains on the southern slopes of Lake Genève. Departed Zurich at 9am to head to Bern. ... hang around for too long without burning holes in my pockets.

I did manage to slot in a last meal on the final evening mind, wondering into town I treated myself and let the waiter get creative with my drink and wine selection. Of course, I regretted that at bill time, but a worthy sacrifice.

I had to head down to Rome to meet my buddy Mike, it was a long old drive so I wanted to go ...

... amp; lemon couscous by torchlight by the lake. With the lights of Thun reflecting on the lake it was still a picturesque spot, an opinion shared by a couple who didn’t seem to mind me as they came along, set up a long exposure camera, and then started smooching right in front of my view. As I left the lakeside for the sleeping bag I set an alarm for early morning, in the faint hope that the clouds would lift overnight for a sunrise on the lake.
