Home hideously late, it’s getting dark, (but so love all the pretty lights). Paris is magic at night, all the monuments and bridges lit up like a Christmas tree.
The French region, country side is just beautiful, ever so green; we even saw a tad of snow-capped Alps.
Ok that is France…..loving it…

When we were sailing with Doug in Croatia, we mentioned that we were going to Burgundy, so he put us in touch with his niece, Lorraine and her husband Tony, who have just bought a canal boat, and are staying in Decize, 123 kms away, where the Canal du Nivernais and the Canal Latéral à la Loire join.

Day 1-3 Frogs Legs in Paris

After walking down some more back streets we came across a bunch of fondue restaurants and since none of us had yet had real French fondue we went in for a second lunch. Last Day in Paris

Took the metro and the exit looked secluded , creepy and probably a popular venue for mugging dumb tourists but heck, how many times do we go to Paris? So we took the exit and came up to the bridge. And it was opulent ornate as we see it in all the pictures and movies. Tried taking the night pictures, still did not come out great but what the heck.
