There is really nothing to share about Cannes. We only spent a few hours there, strolling through the city. It is a very nice city, and it was cool to see them starting to set up for the film festival. There are lots of tourist things, like cutouts of famous movie characters, along the boardwalk. For our last day of summer before our classes began at CIC, my study abroad group went out to the small island of St. Marguerite which is just a ferry ride away from Cannes. We saw the infamous prison where the mysterious man in the iron mask was held for 11 years in the 17th century. We walked around the island to find a good spot to lay out and swim. Once we were all settled, most of us went out into the sea. The water was nice and cool, but the spot ...

... this weird duck that was everywhere. Anyway, once our curiosity was satisfied, we headed home. We got dressed up & ready to head to Monaco for the night! We caught the coach in as a group & we walked to the casino where casino royale was filmed. It was beautiful and the architecture was amazing. We walked around for about 10 minutes until we decided that we were going to have dinner. Dez, Sam, Abbey, Eliza and I headed to the ...
