We had a nice dinner last night - it was the chef's farewell dinner...7 courses...luckily they are not into huge portions, but we thought the 5th course was the main course...the staff is so diverse and they all have their own story, and they want to tell their story, which is nice and a little to personal sometimes...I guess that is a fine ...

We arrived in Cologne at noon, and after another delicious lunch we headed off on a tour of the city, which is dominated by the Cologne Cathedral. One word for the Cathedral - WOW!!! Us Catholics sure know how to spend the peasants money!!...:-)

The Romans established a settlement at this location on the Rhine about 2000 years ago and it has has continuous settlement ever ...

On the whole, I'm not having too many times of feeling sad/homesick but when I do it's bloody awful. I remind myself to make the most of it, as work and daily routines will be just the same, and I will be dreaming of our trip wishing I was back!
We strolled to the local supermarket and bought some dinner ...

Sounds French, looks French and feels French, but it isn't; it's German!

Hi Family and Friends
I have to admit to having a bit of a bludge in Cologne...but hey Europe can wait while Australia are winning their fifth World Cup and now have won that trophy on the 5 continents that play the game. A truly outstanding effort. Those non-cricket fans out there, you know the drill; just suck it up. It is ironic that our bowlers were our strength yet in ...
