Casual start to the morning with a croissant and coffee for breakfast, followed by 6 hours walking around Old Town Genoa. The sights around the upper end are much better than the port, we sat on the steps of a church for half an hour and did some people watching.

Au Revoir Nice, back on the train again today, stay was too short. Train travel has been very easy and enjoyable so far apart from that one leg where it was very hot and stuffy.

Catch the Train from Nice Ville to Genova Piazza Principe on the Trenitalia Thello, had four seats to ourselves for most of the way. Travelled through Monte Carlo, San Remo and all along the coast to Genoa.

... sitting next to. Julie lucked out with a quiet unassuming gentleman who took his seat and kept to himself. Kelly however was lucky enough to have a little old Italian woman with her big hat and 20 bags who had great trouble arranging her suitcase and didn't speak a word of English. ... like watching a couple of episodes of Arrow and when back to our Calimero to end our evening. 23rd Portofino After breakfast we took the bus to Santa Margarita di Ligure a nice little village on the coast where we walked around for a bit and than took the path that leads along the coast to Portofino which takes about 1 1/4 hour (5km) to walk. ... Yep, see photos attached. First thing he checks on entering a new hotel is the bathroom, and cries with joy on finding it "has a laundry!". We locate, after much walking (we find out later, in circles) a great restaurant, chockers full of Italians and a wait of fifteen minutes or so, which was passed with a crisp white wine complimentary of the owner.
