We set out from Tirano this morning to head south. The plan was to get to Genoa or Savona - but we had to tackle the Autostrada through Milan first. Sorry to say, no photo's today. ... Surfers out but not much to catch. Train trip 2 1/2 hrs 6.90€ but only 75km. Milk run. Everything seemed closed an Monterossa- season over. Walked around and saw a sign i recognised from Lonely Planet which turned out to be a letting agency. Took me to block of units- 3 storey with 4 units per level and each unit seems split into 5 separate rooms each with ensuites. Would be noisy and crowded in season but only saw one other person. ...
