The castle had always been used for defense purposes until the 20th century when it was converted to a museum. The old bridge is a tall brick arched design that is only accessible by bikes and pedestrians. Finally we made a ...

... Soraighe". Great tasting, full body with a very nice finish. We even tried to buy some locally but could not find it. There is a website for it however - www.soraighe.com.
The tour was a great way to get a first look at old Verona, a classic Italian town with a lot of old Roman construction including a remarkable arena.
