... camps at the side of the tracks. The first load of Jews, who thought they were being relocated was sent October, 1941, and 1251 Jews were transported to Auschwitz and put to death. The last Jews transported and put to death were sent on March 27, 1945, and 18 were put to death. The Jews met their fate/destiny on Platform 17. This would not be a good place to get lost at a train station!

This place brought sorrow, heartbreak and a glimmer of hope to our group! You could see ...
