We woke from our kind of sleep to stunning views from the windows as the train neared Villach and the Austrian Alps. We had realised that we were close to the Rosental valley, so decided that we should have a quick explore before finding a campsite with the aim of finding some tacky Rosental souvenir. The unauspicious end of the Europe 2014 trip

Ah, what a time it was - we were all set with a lovely apartment overlooking a beautiful valley, surrounded by snow mountains and a view of Lake Millstatt. Paul dropped some of his on the floor as well which he didn't cope with very well and sat on the steps of Sven in despair (I think it was the straw that broke the camels back). He did however pick it up and eat it anyway.

As we were in a supermarket ...

... the lake was in order and we played on the trampoline pontoon again and the girls paddled around on a surfboard and we just relaxed after the ride. Austria has made a good impression on us so far, it really is a beautiful country. It sounds completely ridiculous but as soon as we got here it just felt Austrian, there are mountains, lakes, pine trees and triangular chalet style houses on the hills. We feel like it is our kind of ...
