    ... a lot of history and the buildings are old. Its interesting to note that in spite of the city having been severely bombed by the allies during the war, the three cathedrals, which sport tall spires, were never hit or damaged. Must be a divine force at work.

    Holland is done, and now its time to move on. I needed to have a business meeting in Hamburg, Germany and so we packed up and hit the road. The trip was fairly uneventful apart from a mistake by "The ***** in the Box"....Garmin to some.....when she failed to tell us about some road works just outside Gronigen in Holland. These road works had closed the road and there were no signs giving us an alternative route. ...

    Before we get to Hamburg we have a small adventure starting in Berlin. We arrived in the afternoon with plenty of time to find our hotel for the night. We stayed in and spent some time talking about what to do for the next few weeks. Thursday we headed into Berlin to one of the main train stations.     Another lovely breakfast at the hotel. Nice sitting in the sun room, watching the birds in the trees. We decided to see another part of Lubeck which we had not had time for yesterday. But first we went to the puppet museum which was in a wonderful old building. We were greeted by a very grumpy lady who did not seem to have much time for customers.
