... mighty river until I boarded the train for Koblenz. The Cathedral seats the Archbishop and was founded in the first century AD. It was the Roman Capital of Germania. There is much information to indicate that it is considered the cultural capital of the Rhineland.During the war it had the daylights bombed out of it.

... to see the Museum of Egypotology, Bonn University and the Akademisches Kunstmuseum in the well tendered grounds. Just to the south was a museum of adding machines and counting called the Arithmeum. We then walked into the town to see the imposing structure of the Bonn Minster, one of the oldest Roman Catholic Churches in Germany. ... renovated cement factory, the grounds of which are now a stylish office park located on the side of the Rhine. The restaurant's special featured white asparagus, which are currently in season. These are "uber" asparagus, thick as a child's wrist and white in color. Barb and Boy have them in the evenings special with pork medallions, I settle for regular green asparagus in a dish with salmon fettacini alfredo, delicious!!!

Forgot to mention in yesterday's blog I had the Porsche museum this morning in Stuttgart before heading off to Bonn which is my base for Nurburgring. It is about 70kms from here. Unfortunately I have lost my power converter, in fact I haven't seen it since I bought it in Melbourne airport. I have nothing with over 30% power which is an issue and I never in shopping districts in shopping hours. This means I won't be uploading a squillion photos of ...
