    ... all walked around Basel. Not much going on in Basel without taking the tram, but it was a beautiful day for walking around with our newfound friends. We will do the touring on the tram tomorrow and go into town with our guide. We walked to the end of our pier and took a photo of the monument where the borders of three countries meet.     ... as the campsite owner spoke no English! Simon has been for a quick jog as the weather is now bearable at night and we are currently sat on our pitch with 5 other groups of cyclists.     ... shuffle resulted in man-overboard. No problem, we're in a kayak, they don't sink - or do they? The kayak promptly filled entirely with water so turning it back the right way meant the seat was underwater. The tourists on the clifftops above quickly turned their attention to the scene and got the cameras out.     ... for over an hour and a half and saw no one. not a soul. We did learn that the supermarket opens at 8am the next morning. We also learned that General de Gaul visited the church in Erstein to attend midnight mass Christmas Eve 1944.
