... walking and crossed the pedestrian bridge into Poland where we tried to work out the conversion of the Polish currency into Aussie dollars, then into Euros. Prices seem quite cheap as we'd heard. Might have to do a bit more shopping! Was quite a long walk back to the hotel and as usual we were pooped. We appreciated a rest and I enjoyed a Radler beer, mmmm could get quite used to these.

... Gretchen's family, The Hentschke's. We already had seen several large construction sites with the Hentschke name while on the train from Dresden to Görlitz.

The staff on this cruise have all been very nice indeed. The food has been excellent at some meals and so so on others but the standard on the whole has been excellent. The Alsvin is a new ship so the standard of fittings is very good . Will certainly go on another river cruise as we cannot fault them for their organisation..

Only update were I'm now.
Cut my day a bit short yesterday, because of bad weather. Stopped just short of Goerliz.
120 km, through wet and slippery bikeways, crossing the "Saxon Schweiz", very challenging!
It is 6am now, will have breakfast, the weather looks good, will leave towards Wroclaw Poland, was formerly under German rule called "Breslau ...
