Back in Worms, back to work. Today was Christmas. It was a lot quieter than Christmas Eve - in the morning we stayed in and ate breakfast while the kids played with the toys that they got from Christkind.

In the evening, there was a dinner party that the parents were going to, so I stayed home with the kids and baked cinnamon-bourbon ...

... way. After that we all sat back down for dinner. They had prepared some egg noodles, a bunch of different steamed veggies (including white asparagus which is apparently a local dish,) delicious homemade bread, and some kind of fish stew for everyone else. After dinner, we had coffee and ate a mountain of homemade Christmas cookies and chocolates and candied ginger, and then we ate the real dessert: a warm stew of raspberries and cherries with vanilla ice cream ...
