... and is near to Cortina and so decided to head for Cortina and see if I can find it from there. On the other hand, the chances of it even being open at this time of year are very slim.

As I head on towards Cortina there I see a road leading off to my right and sure enough a sign saying "Passo Giau". Right away I know that is the pass I’m looking for.

... system kicked in as the tyres let go on the icy patches. One thing I love about this bike of mine is the Honda linked breaking system. On this system, if one applies the rear break it puts the rear brake on as normal but applies a very small amount of break to the right hand disk on the front wheel also. It makes it great for conditions such as this.

Because of this system I only used the rear brake pedal the whole way down this pass thus letting me keep my hands wrapped ...

Left padova train to Verona from there suppose to be a fast train to Bolzano, yes it broke down so were put on normal fast regional train, bugger, only ended up 30mins longer somehow normally 90 mins. ... for 2 meters ahead and aviv cried but it was beautiful outside so it's all good!! We reached cortina...what a nice place, can be a background for muller commercial video, all around was green slopes with little Austrians style huts...we found our apartment easily, after all it's a small place. We started walking toward the center of town and then the rain started what a bad luck today...cortina is a very touristic place, not now, in the winter when all the ski activities are on. ...
