Yamagata Shinkansen uses the tracks of existing train lines, employs somewhat narrower train sets and runs at lower speeds after branching off from the Tohoku Shinkansen in Fukushima.     Today's forecast is calling for rain, so this will be a good day to do laundry. After the concierge explains how to set the washing machine I start a load of white wash.
