We were both feeling much healthier by the time we left Bruges. Knowing we had our own room/space was a major positive as was the excitement about all Amsterdam had to offer. On our first night here we walked our way into town through leidseplein square which is a happening little place with bars and restaurants of every type. After having burgers we walked the rest of the way into the main square and the infamous red light district. It was certainly entertaining as the girls in ...

This morning we finally mastered the public transit system and made our way to the Ann Frank House. A note to anyone visiting Amsterdam, if you want to see this historic site, get there very early (like 8 am when they open) or by a skip the line ticket. ... pretty horrible time in Holland and complained A LOT, but he offered me free food and drinks, so I hung out with him in the bar. He turned out to be a White Water sports entusiast and was heading to England so I pointed him in the direction of Wales. The next day is cycling day, nonetheless I stay at the bar untill closing, and then after closing, and then finally head back to the tent for another night of 4 or 5 degrees C plus a wind chill factor, happy that ive got my beer coat on.
