... local bars last night so they were home at 1.30 am, with the others all getting back at 4 am and even some of the chicks getting back at sunrise! That's dedication lol. There was a break in the weather - but it was very short lived!! We were getting soaked walking down to the shops, so we bought an umbrella and did a little shopping. Saw a couple from our tour and had a coffee with them out of the pouring rain (by this time it ...

... begin to pour down with rain again!!!!!!!!!! Hmmm let's hope it stays away. Once we arrived in Pag (after the ferry over) at about 6.15pm to find it was nice weather. ... 2/3 rds of the way across. Quite impressive. We hit the highway and drove north towards Rijeka before turning towards the coastal road the winds down through the hills towards Pula. Along here the small towns cling to the sides of the hills on either side of the road. Steep steps lead up or down to front doors, wooden shutters cover a lot of the windows and many of the facades are decorated with ornate fretwork. Some of these homes would have been spectacular in ...

This morning we backtracked a little to go to Krka National Park. We only have a short time so will only see a small section of the park. Unfortunately we wont see the Roman Amphitheatre or Monastery, but that will have to wait till next time. We are heading to Roski Slap (waterfall).as we turn off the main highway we start to follow narrow country roads, squeezing through streets with houses right on the road, sharp corners ...
