... era Patricius Romanorum (protector de Roma) que lo llevo a ser canonizado años después. Todo esto le dio bastante poder al señor Magno y una centralidad en Europa, por eso se lo conoce como el fundador o el padre de Europa.
Fue en esa época cuando Carlomagno instaló en Aquisgrán la capital de su imperio y es por eso que la ciudad siempre tuvo mucha importancia.

... ar kājām un 3. jūnija rītā 10 ierados pie Toma Maastrichtaa.
28h stopēšana bija beigusies. 800km nobraukti ar 13 mašīnām. Bija diezgan ievērojams nogurums. Mazliet parunājām, uzēdu vafeles un gulēju.
Pēc tam ar riteņiem Toms man izrādīja Maastrichtu, smuka, maza pilsētiņa.

At the end I got a ride from Hamburg
till almost Cologne. It was the only car in the whole trip where I
slept almost 100% of the ride. I was awake only for the first 5
minutes of the 2 and a half hour ride, but they were 3 in the car so
the driver had someone to talk to in case he wanted. It was from 1:30
to 4:00. These 2.5 hours was my only sleeping time until the
destination.
