One day San Marino (nice and strange), great view from there. Three days Bologna (did not like Bologna that much), one day Modena (visiting Osteria Francescana, number 4 worldwide in the list of the best restaurants) and three days sick in bed in Ferrara.

... of Sorrento. In hindsight, we would’ve preferred to stay closer to or right in Sorrento to be able to enjoy the town better. We had limited time to explore the town and found that we really didn’t get to see half as much of what it has to offer. We’d recommend basing yourself in or near Sorrento for exploring the area and touring of the nearby Amalfi Coast.

... waters were so shallow. Most of the tourists were Italian, although on the last day we were there we met a young married couple who live in London.
