The plan was today was a bit of a mystery to me. All I knew was we were driving up into the mountains to some tax-free haven. Matteo (Marina’s cousin) picked us up and off we went. The first stop was a pleasant surprise, Valtelin Golf Club. I didn’t bring any golf attire and they didn’t have the necessary gear for hire, so all I was able to manage was hitting a bucket of balls on the range. The course looked immaculate and the clubhouse was small ...

It had rained overnight in Corvara so the roads were wet when we left but it wasn't raining. The good thing was that the roads were ours - hardly any traffic. In Kaltern Sue followed a path where Bryan who was leading had turned off. She soon realised and stopped thinking someone would find her. Bryan rang Annabel and told her where we would meet but forgot to ask if Richard was with her. He was not so it was quite surprising when Annabel turned up ...

Wonderful stay in a wonderful area

A travel blog entry by raggioluce on Jul 31, 2014

We spent one week in this cosy and special hotel. We planned every evening with the owner of the hotel where to hike the day after. And every time it was a special experience. We saw a lot of mountain lakes, deers, flowers and the owner one time came with us explaining all about the area: history, geography and bothanic. There are a lot of things to do: clibining, rafting, hiking, MTB tours and mcuh more. ...
