Hit the 2000 mile mark today North of Warsaw Still without a map of Russia but we bought the other essentials (wine, shampoo, vodka and brioche). Using the trusty compass to get by and shaking it when it doesn't agree with us! At least we are driving through beautiful countryside with lots of storks, wherever we are heading. Once it stopped raining and I worked up the courage to front the mosquitos, I cooked some packet spaghetti carbonara for dinner on the Trangia, took a couple of photos, then cleaned up and retired to the tent for the night. Shortish ride her yesterday,through pine forests,and very quite roads,it was stunningly beautiful. 270 miles,arriving at our gorgeous hotel,all marble reception,very plush,private parking for bike, Our room had its own private balcony.
