... Vintgar Gorge National Park for a quick hike. We've been fortunate to visit a a lot of pretty places and this one held up. A very tight river gorge with beautiful foliage and fantastic light. Well worth the stop and a great beginning to Bled.
Once we arrived in Bled, we discovered our campground was directly on the west end of Lake Bled which is a 2.5km (1.5 mile) diameter lake. The beach ...

In the afternoon we did another optional tour "Visit to the Postojna Caves" a heritage listed site, taken my train underground then a 90 minute walk through the caves of natural limestone sculpture. This was a fantastic tour and well worth the money, all up 5 and a half hours although we couldn't take photos inside the caves. We've had the buffet dinner in the hotel each night included with Trafalgar Tours.
