... to purchase tickets to get into the Gorge, but it was well worth it! The entire trail is either very well-maintained boardwalks or maintained trails, taking you deep into the gorge for picturesque, clear, pristine river/stream and its equally as stunning sheer walls and cliffs!
The hike takes about 1.5 hours round trip and the pictures speak for themselves! It was a fantastic side trip as we made our way to Lake Bled!

We learned that there are many in the 6 provinces of the former Yugoslavia that still have fond memories of Tita. In the afternoon we did another optional tour "Visit to the Postojna Caves" a heritage listed site, taken my train underground then a 90 minute walk through the caves of natural limestone sculpture. This was a fantastic tour and well worth the money, all up 5 and a half hours although we couldn't take photos inside the caves. We've had the buffet dinner in the hotel each night included with Trafalgar Tours.
