We eventually got off the ferry and walked straight to the train station. Luckily I'd picked up a map of Athens when we'd very first arrived and it had a map of the metro on it. We got the train to a stop right near where we were staying. It was surprisingly very easy. ... after 9am. The weather was heavy rain and grey skies. Ever the optimist, it won’t last for ever. After 20 minutes I was starting to get worried. The rain was getting heavier!! The ship is due to set sail again at 5pm (all aboard by 4:30) so there was still plenty of time.

... We all decided to go to the police station to get police reports for insurance. On arrival we were told by a very rude receptionist that we would need a tax mark, some kind of stamp to go on the police report, which we would get down the road for 2 euros. Pretty sure she was just messing with us but after a lot of arguing we went to get our tax mark.
