    ... and this was free of charge.

    The falls are billed as one of the wonders of the world and in the reviews that accompanied the tour description, were comments like "Swimming in the crystal clear waters was like swimming in champagne". So, we had come all this way with a bag containing swimmers, towels and walking shoes in anticiption of doing the 40 minute trek and swimming in champagne.

    ... finished ordering, it occurred to us that: 1). Brian had only 150 Kuna on him 2). I had a no money with me and 3). We had left our credit cards and bank cards on the ship.     Our first night on board was not restful, thanks to being docked effectively on a busy nightlife street. Traffic whizzed by, music was blaring down the road, and noisy pedestrians passing past our cabin door, many of them swearing in english nogal. Humph.     ... drive into Split was sensational, dropping down from the steep mountains on big, sweeping, curved, raised roads. The Croats had proved themselves to be fantastic road engineers, for sure! Maybe because it was our first city for a while, but it seemed very busy and a bit chaotic round the edges.
