Went to another walled town, Mdina, which gave great views. We toured the dungeons which was kind of corny but fun and gave grisly history of all the people who have ruled Malta, each with their own personal touch regarding punishment and torture. I watched a 45 ...

... Back to the room for a siesta and relax, dinner in the room again tonight. 13.11.14 Sicily to the mainland. Tomorrow we head off Sicily onto the mainland and make our way North towards France. Sicily, what did I think. Taormina and Cefalu were excellent. Siracusa, not so nice. We parked a short way from the vet and I took Tia in and was seen and out within ...

... in the Duomo with the fountain in front of it. The crowd was different from yesterday...no kids playing football, few families, babies and strollers. There were local folks mixed in with us until 10:30 when I spied the first tourist group behind a flag bearer.   Lois was on a search for a sweet Sicilian pastry called cannoli at a pasticcerie. We found them, settled at a perfect people watching table on the stroll and had ...

... for your next visit to the "boot" of Italy.

The breakfast was great and even featured some fruit along with the usual pastries, yogurt, bread, cheeses and salamis. This morning the bread was hot out of the oven. If you are into cappuccinos they are offered at every breakfast. I'm a black coffee person so have had to find ways around this...as in adding just a bit of hot milk to the coffee. Today the coffee ...
