    ... had expected. We went through useful phrases for everyday situations and I can at least say I left knowing a little more Japanese than when I arrived.     ... first time in over a week! When we got home, I made sautéed cabbage to go with our japanese rice and we hung out on our couch (air mattress) before I took Terence to work. Yet another blissfully lazy day.

    ... Naval Hospital. She gave Terence and I a tour of the unit which was spanking brand new, very clean, 15 beds with gorgeous ocean views (I wish I were making this up). We sat and chit-chatted about logistics, work culture, etc. It was so nice to finally meet the wonderful person I had been emailing over the past few and I left DYING to get back to work. After a successful hospital trip, Terence and I finally went off base for the Blue Seal ice cream that I had been promised.

    ... and early(6:30 am). I drove up to a dive site called Mermaid's Grotto for a 2 tank shore dive with some military guys that I met on the "Okinawa Divers" facebook page. The reef had great color and biodiversity.
