    The holiday came to an end and although Manchester Airport had to close for one day while we were away due to snow, Kittila Airport stayed open the whole week even though we had had a metre of snow!! We boarded the plane in Kittila Airport and took off on an ice rink once again. Manchester, UK here we come!!

    ... direction, while helping ourselves to reindeer steak, reindeer sausage, roasted vegetables, jacket potatoes, mashed potatoes and garlic potatoes. It was quite a feast. Next came the pudding…pancakes with blueberries, my favourite. The meal was finished off with a nice cup of tea or coffee.     ... for a night cap. It was a warm cocktail of sorts served in a traditional Finnish cup. After we had taken all the photographs we wanted we headed down to the warm area for a cup of tea and to collect our sleeping bags.
