    ... The shoes weigh like 2 kg each!!! :))) Now- imagine walking in them- real comedy. Turned up late for our class and when we said that none of us done skiing before we were told to be very ambitious booking 4 hours. And guess what? They were right. After excessive sweating and trying not to slide down the hill backwards we realised that 2 hours is more then enough for us.     Today the team spilt into two as there was a lot to get done. The big van went far north to visit Vratsa orphanage, Boychinovtsi Juvenile Prison and pass some boxes to Mick Cooper of Phoenix Inspire. The small van trod more familiar territory visiting orphanages in the Botevgrad area.

    Actually the first stop was an old folks home that has only been open ...

    ... team hit their sacks to try and recover some of that lost sleep from the night before.

    Tomorrow the team visit the House of Opportunity in the nearby village of Skravena and hook up with the translators who will be joining us for the camp.

    ... then it was over - almost as quickly as we had secretly hoped it might be (we were a bit apprehensive, especially as iron gates were locked behind us).Saying our goodbyes and heading or the relative safety on the van, we then dropped off another cargo of Christmas boxes in the delightful little church just down the road, we suddenly felt we had made a group of hardened individuals laugh and (we hope) brought them some joy ...
