... through our room and the next morning I found a brown scorpion in our bath room. A first for me! Now a little gecko is watching me typing, but those are cute!
We have yet to visit our family friends in Buena Vista, to sell the truck, to plan our trips and to do more of surfing. I promise next time I provide some pictures, the new season of blogging has officially started. Don’t forget to keep me in the loop of what you guys are doing! I miss home, I do, and the food…
... anything we've had so far in a restaurant. Actually, its the best food we've had on our entire trip!
Usually though its too hot to walk around town shopping so we go to one of the beaches around Zihua. There are many, and to be honest they are way better than anything you'll find in Ixtapa. Our favorite by far is Playa Las Gatas. Its a five minute boat ride from the town pier and there are no roads leading to it so it feels very isolated. Crowded at times because its so ...
... so meticulously placed! I couldn't help but think about how it all works. The waves would come in, each time to a different depth on the beach, then the water would recede as the next wave came in. We were warned not to go out to far, or the undertoe would sweep you under. Meanwhile, the sun is setting behind the hotels, and creating a glow reflecting on the sand, putting all the people in a silhouette. All of it happened ...
Ixtapa, Guerrero, Mexico julievan... be a good place to go if you wanted an all inclusive, stress free vacation with beautiful beaches and hotels.
Before we arrived in Ixtapa we were pulled over by two military check points. These areas are usually heavily armed with at least 10- 20 soldiers guarding the area. We passed many in the last couple weeks but we are both expecting that this time we were pulled over because Christina was driving ...
... 8217;s only pedestrian street; so if you’re after a quiet night’s sleep then avoid getting one of the rooms that face the street, as they will get pretty noisy in the evenings from the bars around. Their current rates were 700 peso for 1 or 2 persons. Esmeralda, the pleasant owner, spoke excellent English and is a good source for information.
Zihuatanejo, Pacific Coast, Mexico amazingjourneys... supermarket the road was blocked by a vehicle. Apparently there was a street parade going on, we managed to get through and park up and then we walked to the parade. We missed the start of it so do not know what was there, but the section we did see consisted of schools and clubs all dressed up and performing different routines at the corner of the road. Some of these were baton-twirling, some gymnastic, at the end there were some ...
Ixtapa, Mexico mikeandmary... no idea what someone had to go through in Cambodia during the Khmer Rouge! Three: The final reason. Because this way you can read about what is wrong versus, having to have me describe the problems for the umpteenth time? Plus, most people don't listen anymore anyway. Also I'm incredibly tired of so called "Sober" people telling me what to do, especially when they just have no clue or medical background. Then telling me that I'm using drugs if I have ...
Puerto Vallarta, Mexico douglast... to do with what was really going on around the world or even what really is was going on in the States. For instance: what exactly does the weekend box-office of current films- have to do with anything? And why do I need to know how much someone is worth? It just seems to me that while I was avoiding watching the "idiot box" my vocabulary started to reappear and the depression that I've had for years, pretty much went away. I'm actually happier now then I have ...
Puerto Vallarta, Mexico douglast... 50% of my lungīs left, 5 vertebra in my neck are compressed and have bone spurīs growing on the vertebra that press on my spinal cord (the pain is Surreal!), chronic sinus infections that have required 5 surgeryīs so far, Emphysema, Ostioporosis, Ostio-Arthritis, AIDS and an allergy to mold that is deadly in that it eats my lung and sinus tissue. Then to just give me more **** that I didnīt need I wound up having 2 herniaīs repaired and a Cyctoscopy done (Donīt ask, it has to do ...
Puerto Vallarta, Mexico douglastAfter a nice bus trip with movies in Spanish. We took on a boat trip in the Sumidero Canon which was very nice except the plastic bottles in the waters. We arrive in San Christobal late in the evening. We found a very cheap hotel near the marketplace (220 pesos). We got around the city and looked at the nice color full houses. We visited a Majo medicine museum which ...
